Immersion dans les pensées d’un homme désorienté, inspirées de la nouvelle Scriptorium de Paul Auster.
Cette fiction tournée en réalité virtuelle, est basée sur une histoire de Paul Auster. L’histoire commence alors qu’il se réveille, désorienté, dans un espace inconnu, entre quatre murs. Nous sommes alors témoin des angoisses de cet homme, de ses chagrins et de son désarroi. Son esprit est ailleurs, à la dérive parmi les créatures qui hantent son imagination tandis qu’il cherche une réponse à la question qui l’obsède. Que fait-il là, et jusqu’à quand y restera-t-il? Ce projet est la première étape d’un long-métrage qui sera filmé à l’aide d’une caméra 360 degrés, une initiative de Brigitte Poupart en collaboration avec le dramaturge Fabien Cloutier. Il y est possible de suivre le personnage principal, interprété par Robert Morin, en étant complètement immergé dans son univers.
Normal agit à titre de coproducteur du projet avec Transthéâtre. Que ce soit par l’utilisation de la caméra 360 degrés créée et développée par Normal, ou l’installation de caméra sur des drones, le directeur photo André Dufour a fait appel à toute sa créativité afin de repousser les limites du déjà-vu. Nous avons voulu qu’il y installe un rythme, une cohésion parfaite entre le récit, l’émotion et l’image.

This work of fiction, filmed in virtual reality, is based on a story by Paul Auster. The story begins as a man awakens, disoriented, in a strange place between four walls. We are then witness to his anxiety, his sorrow and his confusion. His spirit lives elsewhere, drifting among the creatures that haunt his imagination while seeking an answer to the question that consumes him. What is he doing there, and how long will he stay? This project is the first stage of a feature film that will be filmed using a 360-degree camera, an initiative of Brigitte Poupart in collaboration with playwright Fabien Cloutier. It is possible to follow the lead character, played by Robert Morin, by being completely immersed in his universe.
Normal is acting as co-producer of the project with Transthéâtre. The photo director André Dufour has used all his creativity to push the limits of what has previously been seen and done, whether it is by using the 360-degree camera created and developed by Normal or drone-mounted cameras.
